The rule states no celebratory gestures

It's hard to have the 'everyone is a winner and gets a trophy' philosophy in this kind of competition. So I guess the ideas is 'Ok, if there has to be a winner, he's not allowed to enjoy it', lest the losers, excuse me, non-winners might have self esteem issues.

Seems to me the RACE was over when the kid crossed the finish line. Now if he had done like odumbo does and raised his MIDDLE finger (something odumbo is quite fond of doing to the American people), there would be nothing to talk about.

I truely hope that there will be a lawsuit brought forward to stop these absolutely stupid, foolish things from occuring every day in our schools. It is time we take this country back. It has got to stop.

What ever happened to “Freedom of Speach”? (The Libs are getting their way as Article 1 of the Constitution has been stripped, now on to Article 2 ....sarc).

In regards to the track team that lost it’s title; I was looking at this link http://www.uiltexas.org/files/athletics/manuals/sportsmanship-manual.pdf

On page 2 (Table of Contents) it clearly shows a picture of a girls basketball team taking the net off the hoop (obviously them won) and some of the girls showing that same gesture - holding a finger up. Why is it that the Columbus team is disqualified for the final runner doing exactly what is shown on a picture that is printed in this manual?
