Of course, Cantor’s “expectation” does not represent a “promise” as indicated in the title, although I just skimmed the article.
This reminds me a bit of the time a few weeks ago when Hannity asked Cantor if it wasn’t possible for the House to take some action (defund?) that would prevent the Obama conveyance of fighter aircraft to Egypt.
Cantor walked all around a straight answer and Hannnity let him get away with it.
What I would really like is for some junior staffer who reads FR to slip a full ObamaCare repeal into a huge reconciliation bill, without telling any of our Congressmen. Get it repealed and signed by “accident”, which is about as sleazy as the way it was originally passed and signed, and then let the word out that ObamaCare is no longer law. Just as dishonesty and misdirection are ethical during an armed robbery “let me grab my wallet from here”, it’s ethical to use deception when dealing with today’s socialists.
