Thanks for the corrected numbers, Cheerio. I think we can still see how badly the federals are outnumbered by the people.

If only one in ten citizens held their ground during a worst case scenario, that would still be a force of 10,000,000. That's five to one odds, which aren't good for the federals.

Let us also not forget that US forces would be asked to turn their guns on their own kin and countrymen. I'm guessing that at least two thirds would mutiny, which would leave the federals in a position to do little more than surrender.

As I've said before, I know this has been war gamed out many times, and the answer has always been the same. The government does not have the physical might to overpower the people. This is why the Commies are continually pushing to disarm us. We cannot be overcome by force unless they do so.
