LAS VEGAS, NVNevada Senator Harry Reid released the following statement on the April employment report. According to the Labor Department, 165,000 jobs were added in April and the unemployment rate dropped to 7.5 percent, the lowest in the past four years. Also, a revision by the bureau showed job gains in March and February were larger than previously reported:
Month after month we have seen that the way to create jobs is to combine targeted investments with smart spending cuts and policies that ask the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share not Republicans austerity agenda. Todays report is no exception. Our job growth would be even stronger if our economy were not hampered by the meat-ax austerity Republicans have insisted upon for the past two years, instead of working with Democrats to forge a balanced approach to deficit reduction.
To accelerate job gains for those Nevadans and Americans across our nation still looking for work, Republicans should work with Democrats to replace the sequester with a balanced approach that combines job-creating investments with targeted cuts and revenue measures that close loopholes and ensure that the wealthiest americans pay their fair share. I hope my Republican colleagues will put political games aside and start cooperating with Democrats for the good of the middle class.
When did you stop beating your wife?
I knew Dingy was a retard. He believes his own regime’s propaganda. His staff needs to clue the boy in that this propaganda is for the consumption of the brainless, unwashed masses. Politicians are supposed to know better.
Punch drunk POS.
Sounds great if we could trust the figures.
We cannot.
reid not only drinks the kool-aid, he mixes it, drinks it, pees it, and then drinks that.
Saw all the talking heads stating that he recovery has arrived .... of course, they based it upon the “oh God, I want to believe it” lies from the Bureau of Lies and Statistics. But then again, these are the same people that wouldn’t believe that Al Gore would dump Tipper for a “massage boy”.
Even if we can believe the jobs numbers (which we can’t), how would Reid have anything to gloat about since as far as I remember he was whining and crying non-stop however many months ago about how the mean republicans wouldn’t let him pass any job bills.
I feel less sorry for this POS than I do for the no-info voters who put him back in office. If those clowns feel that Mr Ried has the best interest of their children and grandchildren in mind, I have a bridge that I would like to sell them.
