There are MANY of FR who do the same when their chosen (fill in the blank) snakeoil is not able to defend itself.
It’s important to distinguish when someone is tactically changing the subject, or if they are doing so diplomatically.
At least on FR, much of the time it is for diplomatic reasons. Leftists abhor diplomacy.
