Making the rounds on Youtube. The new NRA president Jim Porter makes some off the cuff comments a 2012 speech to the New York Rifle & Pistol Association.

He is outspoken about overturning recent gun laws adopted by states after the Newtown massacre, according to the NY Daily News.. He also supports firearms training for all U.S. citizens -- including civilians -- so they're "ready to fight tyranny."

problem is we need o train people to know what tyranny is.

we live under conditions now that are worse assaults on liberty and freedom than the founding fathers did.

One reason for that is no one ever stops to think why things common and accepted as normal then are the root of all evil now. Most just parrot “Oh it’s different.”

They need to ask and understand the ‘why’ of it. Which is often liberal agenda. And change things back.

Good comment from NYDN link..

I usually would never side with the NRA, and I kind of thought they where kind of nutty, I even read one of their magazines, and I just thought it was propaganda, until they passed a bill here in NY that harasses, criminalizes, and targets, some several million New Yorkers. Now I understand where they are coming from. I have read books, and have studied the topic of gun control, and statistics point out that gun control actually increases violent crime(murder, rape, home invasions), and is not about public safety, but about control. Never in my life did I think state legislatures would actually use a tragedy like Newton to harass, lawful citizens. In my opinion that is way out of line for lawmakers, and as far as I am concerned these legislatures that voted to harass, and strip lawful citizens of very basic human rights should have charges of harassment brought against them, and should be charged with human rights violations (because part of the bill states that you have to discard your property if it is not in compliance, and the right to property is a very basic human right)

Some leftist school teacher is telling kids at this very moment that the "NRA president wants to whip you if you don't like getting shot at."

Need to be careful with this. The NRA needs to stick to the prime message: gun laws don't work and better security is needed in vulnerable areas.

And they would shudder at the thought of all the technologies that are being used as tools against us...

We are living in the time of soft tyranny, many people don’t recognize it for what it is.

CNN just did a story about a 5 year old who accidentally shot his 2 year old sister with a children’s rifle. It is possible that there was some negligence on the parents part and I don’t know all the details behind the tragedy but this is another example of the media focusing on a gun death while ignoring deaths to children by back yard swimming pools, cars, bicycles, store shopping carts, toxic household substances, 2 gallon buckets, toilets and bathtubs to name a few. Children can die from many kinds of accidents but these will never be highlighted the way gun deaths are because they need to politicize guns for their anti-freedom agenda.
