Here's another good FR thread. The linked article is titled "Ted Cruz: The Anti-Rubio Who Is Determined To Stop Immigration Reform."
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3015008/posts?page=1
I concur. Let's see how he handles a chief executive position at the state level before putting all our beans into getting him elected to the Presidency.
I think you meant Rubio...
I’m not for Rubio’s plan. I think we need to implement an e-verify system that takes place in 5 years, allowing the illegals here to either apply for citizenship or self-deport within that time. I wish Rand was for this but it appears he’s not. Still, Cruz is inelligible and out of the remaining top candidates, Rand is the best.
You’re right, I did-—more coffee.
To the last two sentences: wrong, and wrong.
I’m going to say “no” to the article’s question if only because I’m sick to the teeth of the immediate stampede to the name of the moment as the next great hope for the presidency. We got it when Scott Brown (unemployed-MA) won the Senate special election to replace Kennedy. We got it again with Rand Paul during his filibuster. Now it’s Ted Cruz.
I mean, yes, it’s possible that Cruz is the best option for 2016, but it’s way too early to tell that right now, and I’d like to see him “in action” in the Senate for more than just a couple of months before boarding that train.
Scott Walker brought US Deniece Priebus as GOP party head as baggage....and has not cut the management and admin level state jobs in Wis. Jindal has the same eligibility issues as Cruz.....and is not the consevative Cruz is
I could care less about this phony “executive leadership” nonsense...its an excuse to not elect a consevative
NO
If he runs the Democrats and the Media will suddenly rediscover the natural born clause, virtually overnight.
You can bet your bippy on that happening.
I can’t wait to call all my libtard aquiaintances “Birthers” with glee and underhanded malice.
Ted Cruz correctly and courageously talks about the Marxist domination of Harvard Law School.
Then why did he stay there and graduate rather than find a non-Marxist dominated school?
Daniel in the Lion’s Den...
Daniel didn't enter the lions den by choice or stay there by choice. Cruz did.
He’ll be our best hope until he sneezes in the wrong directions and “conservatives” decide he’s a RINO. /s
Yes.
The good news is that the RINOcracy is divided between Bush and Christie, and on our side, Cruz is the clear front-runner.
Let the money flow.
Daniel in the Lions Den...
Daniel didn’t enter the lions den by choice or stay there by choice. Cruz did.
May be a good test if Cruz can endure that and not become a frothy lib or a weasel RINO, maybe he has built up an immunity to “Potomac Fever”....
Who is ?
He's still saying, "Harvard is a nest of commies. I realized that the day I walked in the door and I knew it for every single day of the three years that followed."
fieldmarshaldj...I do not have a clue. Alot can happen between now and then and I am just hoping someone will emerge. If history repeats itself, we should elect a Republican after two terms with a democrat. But right now, I do not see anyone who is hinting they might run who has much depth and experience and the respect of the party. Who do you suggest?
He certainly does look like the best option at this early stage, and the left has already hatched a smear campaign against him that will only become more intense - Cruz the Barbarian.
I'm also waiting to see how he deals with it.
