ALT LAKE CITY — Police have released dash-cam footage in a chase on I-15 last week that led police through Salt Lake County.
The chase started at about 12:50 p.m. on I-15 near 12300 South. Dash-cam footage shows a woman driving a black Volvo passing a Utah Highway Patrol trooper in the emergency lane. The woman, identified as Lisa Anne Sovereen, 44, refused to pull over as speeds reached 80 mph.
Sovereen called 911 and asked the dispatcher "that the trooper get off her back," according to UHP Cpl. Todd Johnson. She said she believed the trooper would try to ram her car. When the UHP called her back, she said she was not required to pull over and that police had stolen her previous vehicle and taken her blood.

Yes. Multiple sections. North bound I-15 starts the first 80 MPH at Enoch,UT around MP80. It drops back to 75 MPH near MP100 so you can negotiate the Beaver area passes north/south. 80 MPH occurs another 3 segments that run 15 to 20 miles each. I just traversed that path last Friday. There are no 80 MPH segments on I-15 north of about MP210.

Reading through all the associated information concerning the sovereign citizen, I come to this:
If that is something that siuts your fancy, that is your choice. I am one that Mr. Murphy looks towards with glee, if I do not ‘dot my ‘i’s’, and cross my ‘t’s’.
To disassociate yourself from American society, as a survival-of-self, is not bad.
To disassociate yourself, and take your existence away from being ‘stamped, numbered, indexed, labeled, categorized, identified’ from governmental existence, MIGHT have merit, were it not for all those pesky things called ‘laws’, written by cousins of Mr. Murphy, that will catch and jail you.
A self-declared ‘sovereign citizen’ is someone looking at all the laws, precepts, AND from the U.S. Constitution back to The Mayflower Compact, and calls it a lie. The sovereign citizen movement looks with disdain and hatred at The 14th Amendment, sseing that Amendment as the end of what was the America they use as their benchmark, and the America belonging to Great Britian from that moment in history forward.
They can attempt to sell that to me, but I’m not buying!
A Sovereign citizen is someone that desires prison and ultimately death over a happy go lucky life. They basically want to do whatever the heck they want up to and including murder without any consequence.
If they hold this woman long enough to study her, I would bet she owes taxes, takes or sells drugs, and is probably wanted for other violations in other places. She will most likely get out tomorrow with a ticket for speeding and resisting arrest. That will enable her to put other citizens at risk so she can get more facial surgery and drugs. By accusing the UHP of stealing her car and blood, she is tacitly admitting that she has done worse than this before. Just for fun, the officer should recommend she get held for 3 days in the psycho ward and maybe she could get put away if she threatens someone. One way or another, her "sovereignty" will be taken from her at some point. The trick is not having someone else die because of her "freedom".
Maybe we’ll find out.
