They’re always whining about being banned from hiking trails along the NY/NJ border; there are a small number of trails available for them, but I guess the environmentalists have a bigger voice (citing damage to foliage as the reason why they shouldn’t be riding on them). I admire people with the motivation to get/keep themselves healthy with biking, but to think they’ll ever be sharing highways with cars is absurd.

I don’t have a problem with bikes, just don’t expect them to be treated equally to cars. I must have ridden 40 or 50 miles per day till I got a drivers license and we didn’t have bike trails then. I had to ride on the roads and stay out of the way of cars.
