I am sorry to say, that KY is definitely a “taker” in the big scheme of things, not a “maker”. So, the governor is simply continuing that fine tradition.

Scumquist wanted a map that the RATS thought was too much a rat gerrymander? God damn.

“also named David Williams, was a Democrat who almost pulled off the stunt of winning the GOP nomination and having his wife as his Lt Gov running mate. “

LOL.

Ahabesque? As in Capitan Ahab?

Oh, yeah. Donnie wanted to really screw the state GOP (or rather the pre-Tea Party wing). I was surprised that the Dems didn’t go along with it, as such lines, were they successful at accomplishing their goals, might’ve kept the Dem House majority for at least a couple cycles longer (although sometimes they can backfire).

Back to KY, Larry Forgy should’ve run again in ‘99 with a simple slogan... “Re-Elect Larry Forgy.” When the Republicans all but abandoned running ANY serious candidates across the board, it was either stupid or some sort of arrangement. As it was Mitch McConnell endorsed Paul Patton in ‘99 after Peppy Martin got the nod.

Ahab... Captain Ahab, yup.

Because of her comments about his wife? Boy, what a kook. Mitch could have endorsed the Reform party guy instead though.
