Sure. Just like they can stop a person from making a lathe or any other tool. You need to wise up.

What was the movie where some guy made a gun of wood to take out a politician?

Held it under the table and assembled it there too.

When will be become a crime to know things? It happens regularly — the French killed everyone who knew anything a couple hundred years ago. The Khmer Rouge killed everyone who knew anything few decades ago. I guess it’s coming here soon.

They’re going after it everywhere.

It's been on PirateBay for days now, humming around the planet as a torrent file.

The AR-15 receiver and magazine files are circulating via BitTorrent, too.

“In the Line of Fire” with Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich.
Malkovich made the gun out of plastic and was able to sneak the bullets in inside a rabbit’s foot keychain.

Amazingly the download link for the liberator is still active in the google cached version of the website. Just do a google search for defcad org liberator and select the cached page and download the file.

From a post earlier.

Any physical device can be scanned with a laser into a software application like CAD. The 3D image in the CAD application can then be printed (fabricated) without the need to download the 3D image file.

Objects can also be scanned with MRI technology to create the 3D image file for printing.

This technology has been around for 30 years and only recently has it developed to the point where the technology is viable. It is going to be an important manufacturing technology for the future. Instead of shipping parts we will be transferring files and products will be fabricated locally. Even the left wingers will see that using 3D printers for manufacturing reduces the products carbon footprint since there will be no required shipping.

That’s the one. That was an interesting and well made movie, I thought.

But one did take note how he made that gun and snuck it into the event. Further that he was a guest as well!

In point of fact, the strategy seems to have been to goad them to make this move. Why else court all the publicity anticipating a shutdown, with the prior mock seizure posting?

>> They cannot stop it. Cat’s out of the bag,

It will likely be legislated a crime similar to counterfeiting.

East Africa had a problem awhile back with semi-nomadic tribesmen stealing the 1/2” water pipe used as pump rods in the hand pumps scattered throughout remote regions.

These warriors proceeded to turn these pieces of 1/2” water pipe into gun barrels.

It’s available here. If you are not familiar with downloading torrent files or P2P file sharing, do some research first on the potential problems.
http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/8458661/defcad-repo-master-2013-05-08.zip . The ‘sx’ domain changes from time to time. If this link doesn’t work, try substituting ‘org’.

This is highly recommended when engaging in any P2P sharing. NOTE: disallowing http will block most interaction with websites, but you could leave it on when doing the downloads. Other than that I leave it running always - won’t hurt anything and does not consume significant resources.

John Kerry's State Department is a wee bit too late. That horse has long since left the barn. The files are already all over the Internet. I was just now looking at the .stl files for the Liberator on another site.
