The Miami Dolphins would consider building a brand new stadium in Palm Beach County, Fins CEO Mike Dee told reporters today.
Dee, whos still smarting from the teams failure to get state dollars to renovate Sun Life Stadium, was asked directly about Palm Beach County and said the team would consider moving north.
Were open-minded to all long-term solutions, Dee responded, according to The Miami Herald. You cant close the door on anything.

See ya.
Solution. Hire Tim Tebow. Fill up your stadium with paying customers and generate buzz like you’ve never seen. Maybe he’ll even take your sorry team to the playoffs.
I am still not sure what is the problem with the current stadium.
No home field advantage of any significance.
We see that alot here in PHX. Everytime the Cowboys, Packers, Vikings, Red Wings, Cubs, Mets, Lakers etc come to town it’s like a road game for our teams.
They had a great home field advantage in September and early October, but Stephen Ross moved their 1pm games to 4pm because he thought the high temperature was keeping fans away. Also not sure how a new stadium will fix the home field advantage. I dont think the home field advantage is enough to justify building a billion dollar stadium.
It's 25 years old. For many NFL owners that is unacceptable ... new stadium time. Mike Brown, owner of the Bengals is a classic example. Residents of Cincinnati (Hamilton County) will attest to that ...
I would think 1pm games in November would be an even greater advantage but what I was referring to was crowd noise. I've been to several college bowl games in that stadium and the fans are just too far from the playing field to regularly generate the level of accoustic energy that pumps up the home team and disrupts the visiting team.
Sun Life Stadium looks nice. I can tell by the empty seats during the Canes and Dolphins games
A Palm Beach County stadium would kill U of Miami FB. The current stadium kills their home games as it is so far away from the campus
A friend from Dominican Republic used to play triple A baseball and he told me low attendance in Miami is due to Hispanic women. Hispanic women will not get fixed up with make up and sit outside in the heat. If Mama aint happy....
Great idea! I wish they would.
Palm Beach county is richer and whiter than Miami and Broward. Hispanics are not into football. This is why he might move plus the prospects of a custom designed stadium with the most corporate sky boxes which he the owner gets the revenue from. Unlike revenue from the peasants seats which revenue is split 60/40. And cable TV revenue which is pooled by all owners and all get an equal share
Moving north to Palm Beach County will bring in fans from the richer whiter counties north of Palm Beach who will not travel to Miami. Actually the present stadium is on the county line of Broward and Miami/Dade county
I went to many Dolphin games there, even many sell outs. I also went to a few at the old meadowlands stadium in NJ and your right, there is a complete lack of crowd noise especially when compared toeach other.
