I’m with you. As Clint Eastwood said, “Joe Biden is the intellect of the Democratic Party.” Democrats didn’t realize that was sarcastic - they believe it.

We know Biden’s in. I’m pretty sure Pocahontas will run. Deval (Obama v.0.9) Patrick will run. He’s one of Axelrod’s beige bolsheviks that are his specialty. And whoever Jarrett thinks she can control.

Having a good field, meaning having several good candidates is a problem for the Republicans because the good candidates will cut each others’ throats in ever more vile character assassination and the guy just sitting back taking the rest and not really joining the bloodletting until the first couple of rounds of primaries are over then Jeb Bush will walk away with it. Ronald Reagan won because he was running for the job for 10 years or more, putting out markers, getting his face in front of the public and being an aggressive nice guy.Conservatives with that one notable exception just don’t have it to run that way. And they lose when the majority of the Republican electorate far and away prefers one of the conservatives to the cycle’s bushdolemccain.

Maybe a Biden/Christy ticket will come together, but I wouldn’t count Hillary out, or rule out the emergence of another multicultural cult figure.

John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, is not tainted by Benghazi.

My guess is that they’ll pick an Hispanic to counter the Ted Cruz momentum on the GOP side. Or maybe they’ll grab Corey Booker and try to make him an American version of Obama. The Old Media is already singing that old “rising young star” song about Booker, just like they did for Obama.
Biden? No way. He’s too much of an embarrassment for the Dems. They’d have to keep him on a 24-hour Thorazine patch just to keep him from making a fool of himself on the campaign trail.

I think if Hillary doesn't choose to run then the race will be wide open. Hillary will be 67 come primary season thus may not want to put the time/effort into a run. Although with her recognition she'd have the edge by far with little effort.

Biden will be 73 come primary season and thus I really don't think he'll even enter the fray. But if his ego controls his actions then he could become the sacrificial lamb for the dems.

Kerry. Who apparently served in Vietnam is already a presidential loser. They won’t chose him again.

Perhaps Nan? She’s a cogent wide eyed former speaker(snark)

It’ll be somebody we don’t know.

My money is on Julian Castro. He is in exactly the same position as the present occupier of the WH was post-convention keynote.

People sort of chuckled when BO, a dynamic speaker with a thin resume was tagged as "one to watch". We're not chuckling anymore.

-— Biden will be 73 come primary season -—

I could cross over to vote for Biden. Don’t tempt me.

Deval Patrick, and he will probably beat Jeb Bush or Chris Christie. Sickening, but that’s how it’s shaping up.

Deval Patrick
Marin O’Malley
Elizabeth Warren
Andrew Cuomo
Joe Biden
John Kerry (round 2)
Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor

Less likely:
Michelle Obama
Chris Christie - why run a turncoat when you have plenty of leftists in the stable?
Al Gore - too unstable
