So when 6,000 people were killed in the Galveston hurricane in 1900, what were we getting punished for?
Or was it just that we stupidly put a considerable-sized city on a sandbar without a seawall in a hurricane-prone area and ignored warnings about the storm from the Cubans?
The idea that any human being alive in the last 500 years would blame human or man-made disasters on some sort of divine punishment is silly. We have much better explanations for things, though they don't make people feel better the way that believing some deity did it does.
your refusal to believe that God chastens a nation for sin is what is the bad thing here
When a nation is right with God, they do not suffer
Our nation has been declining left and right, financially, morally, world prestige, our personal freedoms
it is the LACK of Biblical values in the people, the lack of people fearing God and hating sin that is causing all this
you ignore that in your own peril
“We have much better explanations for things,”
no - YOU think you do
and won’t allow for opinions from others
you worship your god science and let others worship theirs
