Carney On IRS Scandal: Bush Appointee Was In Charge
Breitbart ^ | 10 MAY 2013 | Breitbart.com

Posted on 05/11/2013 10:11:00 AM PDT by Old Sarge

"Two things need to be noted: IRS is an independent enforcement agency, which I believe, as I understand it, only contains two political appointees within it. The individual who was actually running the IRS at the time was actually an appointee from a previous administration. But separate from that, there is no question that if this activity ever took place that it was inappropriate and action should be taken. And the President would expect that it be thoroughly investigated and action would be taken."

Okay, Bush gave him the job but who was watching his work last year, the year before and all the years since 1/20/09?

The commie Marxists in the Barry regime never do anything wrong! Nope! Not them! They’re perfect. It had to be a Bush appointee who was WORKING FOR THEM and not Bush in 2012. Doh!

Best thing Judd Gregg ever did was walk away when Obama started manipulating the census. This shows why.

Obama likes republicans in places they can be scapegoated.

Bush appointed him so it’s Bush’s fault!
(The fact that team obama kept him in his job for 5 years after Bush left office has no relevance, please move along, folks)

Oh well, they must dust off the “It’s Bush’s Fault” mantra again for this issue.

You raise a good point, the guy was appointed by Bush, but has been working for Obama since 1-21-09.

Selective reasoning on their part.

OTOH. Bush was president when those SEALs on SEAL Team VI who got Osama joined the Navy and were being trained. The female CIA agent was hired and started her hunt for Obsama when Bush was president. Barry didn’t seem to have a problem taking credit for getting Osama. What a Chicago sleazebag.

So a Bush appointee can be held responsible for the actions of a "low level staffer" but Obie will not be held accountable for the behaviors of any of his department heads

Alrightie then...

There is no reason to think that the man is a Republican just because Bush appointed him. Yesterday someone posted something showing that the man made a political contribution to the Democratic Party in 2004.

I hate to say this but it is possible the RINO ruling class in DC purposefully tried to hinder the Tea Party movement in the last election.

More likely this is Zero trying to create a distraction from Benghazi.

All scandal’s in this Admin are Bush’s fault, and the fault of republicans making a political issue of every scandal, that’s what Carny said in his presser yesterday.

A real conservative. /sarc.

http://bigstory.ap.org/article/irs-commissioner-shulman-step-down

As commissioner, Shulman was responsible for delivering about $300 billion, or some 40 percent, of the funds made available in President Barack Obama’s 2009 stimulus package...

(snip)

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, in a statement, said Shulman’s “work at the IRS, from fighting tax evasion to modernizing technology, has helped make the nation’s tax system more fair, efficient, and effective.”

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2009/03/the-aig-bonus-t/

Call it the AIG Bonus Tax. Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) is working to put the idea into law. At a hearing today, he asked IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman, “What’s the highest excise tax we can impose that will stand up in court?” Shulman said he’d have to get back to Baucus on that, but promised to work with the Senate a drafting the new AIG bonus tax. Senator Schumer, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and six other Democratic Senators have written a letter to AIG Chairman Edward Liddy demanding the bonuses be rescinded. If he doesn’t rescind them, the letter warns, the bonuses will be taxed away.
