I guess they don’t realize that they are already paying taxes.
There is no end of Leftists in line with new ideas to be submitted to fleece more funds from the public.
We don’t have a lack of taxation problem. We have a spending and more importantly priority problem.
We have plenty of money being collected. We’re just spending it on the wrong things, and leaving the important things unfunded.
Then they come to us and complain about lack of funds.
One thing must be stated here though. When you’re only employing 77% of your work force, you’re certainly not going to be getting in income you should, and you’ll be spending more funds in support of a massive segment of the public too.
Get people back to work. That’s the long and the short of it right there.

The reason that Maryland's transportation fund is empty is because O'Malley raided it two years ago to fund his pet social projects. What makes Colburn think that either O'Malley or his inevitable Rat successor won't do it again?

Hope springs eternal! I predict, just like other earlier increases in highway related taxes and tolls, the bulk of the increased taxes will be directed toward mass rail transit and bus service for the voters who put the Democrats in power.
That way, these voters won’t have to worry about increased bus or rail fares while they talk with their friends on their Obama-phones.
Your road repair programs will take third place to that.
Well, it won’t. We here in Collifornia have the highest gas taxes in the nation. Our freeways and streets are full of potholes. I got two flats on the block before the freeway onramp last year - right in the center of town. It will just bring more money that they SPEND any way they way. And then they’ll want more...
Didn’t the clowns in Maryland just pass a “rain tax” too where you have to pay a tax on the raindrops that hit your house and driveway?
