Baby Mama Day
The Palookaville Post ^ | May 12, 2013 | The Paperboy

Posted on 05/12/2013 8:23:01 PM PDT by onyx

While picking up some last minute flowers for Mom, a display of those inflated metallic balloons caught my eye. Among them, one in particular stood out: “Happy Baby Mama.” I laughed in front of the salesgirl upon seeing it and asked her if that one was meant as a joke or novelty. The young woman informed me that she had ordered many and that the one I was looking at was the last remaining. Apparently, on the rough streets of San Bernardino, marriage is becoming an endangered species. Indeed, the very concept of motherhood, as well as the level of the written word in expression, have both taken massive beatings: much like a yorkie who has come face to face with a pit bull.

America is rapidly becoming a nation of bastards where the state of marriage is considered an anachronism and the only people fighting to get hitched are the homosexually inclined. I needn’t bother you with the hard numbers since we all know them – except to say that now well over four in ten children are born out of wedlock. And while this doesn’t reflect upon the children in any meaningful way, it sure reflects upon the cavalier way we view an institution that was once hallowed. America has become the moral equivalent, concerning marriage, of the guy who wears sweat pants to the opera: we are to the point where we no longer care what others think while defecating on anything that smacks of the sacred. In fact, the sacred and profane are becoming as indiscernible as the moral distinction between what is praiseworthy and blameworthy in any avenue of civil society.

It is en vogue now, when everything seems to be flying apart into anarchy, to ask “what happened to America” in a bewildered fashion: as if an asteroid had fallen hard upon us and we were still reeling from the impact. But every time we cut a corner, evade a responsibility, or commit some shady act that generations hence would have condemned, we are complicit in cracking off a piece of the world. Even if the question is never fully articulated by kids, the generations rising are learning fundamental lessons about what we value – just as if we sat them down in front of a chalkboard and explained to them in a Venn Diagram that man and woman are discrete entities that need not union at any common point for the enculturation of children. In this manner, each succeeding generation will chip off another piece of stability and civility until the only thing left is the gargantuan Leviathan government who will permeate any and every corner of our lives. This, if I may be so bold, is the life of the grinning slave.

Getting over to my Mom’s house, we prepared her a breakfast in honor of Mother’s Day. She is in no way a “Baby Mama” and my late father would have flattened anyone who called her so or who would have cast the aspersion that any of his children were bastards- even though the slander was patently untrue. He didn’t, as the youths now say, “Roll that way”- and neither do we. God created the institution of marriage not because he wanted to clamp down on our pleasure or happiness, but because he knew that it is only in the confines of such an enduring architecture that we can find true fulfillment and develop into personalities that are capable of learning and passing on love and civilization into perpetuity. As in all eternal wisdom, we find that the paradoxical notion of true freedom arises out of an institution rooted in discipline and restraint.

So hail to all Mothers on this day; in particular the ones who understood the nature of self-restraint and sacrifice – who understood what it meant to forego momentary pleasure for the sake of their young. Who thought it loving and prudent to build a nest, just as any common bird might do, before she laid her eggs. Love has always meant more than the satiating of a selfish desire to quell emptiness and neediness. As soft and as loving as she is, a Mother’s Love is as tough as nails. Civilization depends upon that strength, and we forget it at our own mortal peril.

Mothers who do not marry the fathers of their children do NOT deserve to be celebrated....they are NOT worthy. They are not “mothers”....merely vessels for bastard babies. Sorry...that’s the facts. NOW, if it is because the father REFUSES to marry them, that is another story...however, to be in a relationship and end up in that situation, tells me they probably were not very good parent material to begin with.

Apparently, on the rough streets of San Bernardino,...

Or "San Burnanegro" as I've called it since the Chris Dorner demise.

Soon there won’t won’t be any mother’s day or father’s day - just parent’s day (or in spain, progenitor’s day).

I call BS on that; it is the #1 indicator of whether or not you will be incarcerated. I’d call that meaningful.

The left is reaping what they’ve sown; many white libs I work with decry the number of immigrants (legal or otherwise) they increasingly find themselves surrounded by, and they don’t want to hear that it is because they won’t breed a next generation.
