Geraldo Demands O’Reilly Stop Saying “Illegal Alien”

Before I retired I worked at the Social Security Admin. in Baltimore. We had a meeting at which we were told that “The word alien will no longer be used in the SSA unless we were referring to ‘Little Green Men from outer space!’”. My comment to my buddy: “Then I guess ‘wetback’ will also be unacceptable.” got me an interview with the EEO types. I replied that I was half French-Canadian and that when I was growing up the term Canuck was a very derogatory term and now there is a professional hockey team named the Vancouver Canucks so don’t talk to me about such things because I won’t listen to you. Needless to say, my promotion opportunities were somewhat curtailed.

“negro” is the word for black in spanish. They don’t have another word for it.

Here’s another question, when did “oriental” become a bad word and why is everyone an “Asian” now.

Because to me there are differences between people I would call “Orientals” such as Chinese people, Japanese people, Korean people, etc. and those I would call “Asian” such as Indians, Pakistanis, etc.

And not just differences of appearance, there are great language and cultural differences.

But I guess as long as I don’t think white people s*ck, I’m a racist!
