I agree. We were told not to use the term “wetback” because it is racist, so it got replaced with illegal. Now we are told not to use the term illegal because it is racist and insensitive. Some suggested we use the term undocumented, but even that has come under fire. The plan is to embarrass Americans who make a distinction between citizens and non citizens. If every word we use to make that distinction gets besmirched by the left, we might as well go back to the colorful term “wetback.”

The problem is, whatever new term they come up with soon comes to mean what it is labeling, and the truth about the group or object or concept then becomes associated with the new label, and that new label then becomes “offensive”.

There was an episode of South Park where they boys were going to have sled race against the girls and fatass cartman as the 4th heavy on the sled was in trouble for something and sidelined.
The girls were unrelenting. They reveled in their lexicon of epithets for queers. T@rd-burglar, B@tt Pirate, and A$$ Bandit were just three - hilarious.

Sure - it’s awkwardly worded, and I’m sure some wordsmith can improve upon it.
You can see this throughout leftism, though, even down to what they call their ideology.
“Progressive” - sounds great... until people began to associate it with the ideology they supported - fascism.
“Liberal” - sounds great... until, again, people began to associate it with what it labeled - socialism/collectivism/fascism.
Back to “Progressive”, and hope no one notices.

Yeah...I know...some of it is biting and unconservative. But I will say this for them, there have been some very good ones like the one against the media and their wild assertions in the Katrina Rip-off episode and the one against the PETA organization. Not all equal opportunity ridicule, but they come close sometimes.
I heard them in an interview say they “hate conservatives, but they REALLY f’n hate liberals”.
Then if we call them anything besides "Americans" we should call them Negroids.

I remember in the early 1970’s no one wanted blacks to be called “colored” or “black”. They would claim, “People ain’t no crayon, stupid. It is Afro-American.” Then in the 1980’s it became “African-American”.
Immigration is a legal process. What we are looking at is invasion, the illegal incursion by uninvited individuals or groups. Sadly, the American people are being fed the lie —from the media who are the enemy of The People— that these poor invaders are due amnesty because they were only trying to better their lives. ...
