Was there no conservative Republican who did not have a very public affair and marriage breakup?

The man fell in love. Maybe not in the best circumstances but when it happens I think all men are weak. It’s not like B.J’s in the Oval Office after numerous other bimbo eruptions. I don’t hold it against him.

He won’t come down with “Potomac Fever”, instead he will succumb to the “Argentinean Flu”...

Mark Sanford, Welcome Back to Washington

He'll fit right in.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

The beginning of the end.

The Republican party machine could not come up with a new candidate.

As the delightful Star Parker says in her article...”Welcome back to Washington, Mark Sanford.”

This thread is sure to attract those who are bitterly disappointed that the Pelosi Democrat did not prevail over Mark Sanford despite the large sums of national progressive money thrown into the race.

Yet another reliable conservative in the House—let's keep it up.

“He has always been a consistent, principled and courageous conservative”

Well right after I hurled my breakfast bagel over the word principled I reminded myself that at least he’s our scumbag. Pretty sad when thats the highest emotion you can muster about a legislator from your own party. At least he’s not from GA. We have our own two RINO’s in the senate to shame us.

If he winds up on all the Congressional junkets to Argentina then we’ll know something’s up.

Part of Sanford’s rehabilitation has been appearing on FOX News and other outlets as a political observer. He came across—to me anyway—as articulate and astute. I was amazed because I could only remember the ridiculous Sanford trying to explain his bizarre behavior to the press.
