This article is bizarre. You can still legally buy pressure cookers in the US so why “smuggle” one in??? Besides, Detroit is a war zone as it is — no one needs to blow it up.

How many of us can honestly say that we haven’t travelled internationally with pages missing from our passports and a pressure cooker in our checked baggage. It could happen to anyone. And the fact that he was travelling from the Middle East, shortly after the attack in Boston? Well just a coincidence I’m sure. Pure simple bad luck - could happen to anyone.

This is simply a story to show that TSA can detain an Arab flying with a pressure cooker as if they are doing their job. It's for public consumption. It would mean something if it was packed with explosives. otherwise its distractive news.
