Media discovering Obama doesn't return the love
American Thinker ^ | 05/14/2013 | Thomas Lifson

Somewhere, Andrew Breitbart is smiling. You can almost see the metaphorical light bulbs going on in bubbles over the heads of liberal media figures. Obama loyalists are expressing outrage at the subpoenaing of the phone records of 20 lines serving over a hundred AP reporters.

The timing could not be better. Just days after it has sunk in on the White House press corps that the administration has been lying through their teeth about Benghazi. On the very day that the AP published its own outraged account of the subpoena, calling it a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news, the president held a joint presser with David Cameron that earned him four Pinocchios from the WaPo's fact checker, Glenn Kessler, calling the talking points a "sideshow."

To my mind, the AP scandal's significance entirely lies with its effect on the media's mindset on Obama. They have been cheerleading for him for six years, now. But that old story - the young, brilliant, dynamic, athletic, "sort of a god" guy who was going to unite us - is not selling anymore. So they need a new narrative.

As a scandal, the subpoenas may or may not be important. Professor Eugene Volokh offers some wise words of counsel:

"DOJ is investigating a leak of national security information to AP reporters that culminated in a May 7, 2012 story that disclosed details of a CIA operation in Yemen that stopped a terrorist plot in early 2012.

I watched everyone on Morning Joe this morning bad mouthing the administration over all 3 scandals. I couldn’t believe i was hearing this from this bunch. Obama is in big trouble when he loses these guys. The last nail in the coffin will be when Chris Matthews tosses him under the bus. Let’s wait and see.

If they were willing to have their fellow citizens enslaved and killed, what loyalty will they show the new order?

MSM=useful idiots, Two things are certain. They will remain idiots and useful to Obama. The MSM was permeated by the Left, long before the vile Obama’s commissars took over all Federal agencies. It will take far more than a few scandals to uproot this red malignancy.

Just like the Kapos in the ghettoes, who were surprised when they were ordered onto the trains.

Like lighting a wet brush pile on fire with gasoline.

You toss a match in it and it goes Whoof, burns brightly for a little then dies out.

The Media loves this guy we have to wait a few days and see if they are really pissed or just a little put off.
I expect they will let Benghazi slide like they did F&F and be promised that it won’t happen again on the AP thing.

What we need is backfire in dry brush set off by a flame thrower. We could get that if we could somehow get Republican politicians to start the fire.

Exactly. That’s why Hitler ended up killing many of the brownshirts and why Che Guevera fled from Castro in fear for his life.

Looks like who ever is pulling Obama’s strings has decided he has outlived his usefulness and the state run media has gotten the memo

It’s what always happens when useful idiots complete their tresonous jobs and have outlived their usefulness.

I wonder if Chris Matthews is curled up under his desk yet, sucking his thumb and whimpering.

It'll never happen. Tingles will throw himself in front of a moving train before he turns on 'The Won". I'd be willing to bet that after this blows over (with help from the MSM) it'll be business as usual with the press carrying water for this regime.

I guess the outcomes will be one of two for the media—cower and return to their slobbering over the tsar OR fighting back and really turning the tables on this ghadafi wannabe. My money is on the first.

“My job is to be president. Your job is to keep me humble. Frankly, I think I’m doing my job better.” -- President Barack Obama at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Actually, wrong on all counts.

Not likely. He is a Sociopath. The image he maintains of himself and the image he thinks others have of him is completely devoid of reality. He is incapable of shame. He cannot fathom how silly he seems to normal people. Even when he gets defensive it is to ridicule the common peasant as stupid and unworthy of any serious consideration of opinion.

Chris is a mindless lemming. He's incapable of an independent thought, reason on logic that does not already fit in his political paradigm.

Just ask the media maroons if W ever did that to them . . . . Not holding my breath, but they should be declaring war on the POS occupying the WH. Next time, maybe they will be more careful about picking people they portray with halos over their heads.
