It was reported last night that former governor Sarah Palin (R-Beyond-the-Wall) has been offered a national syndicated talk show by reality TV mega-producer Mark Burnett (Survivor, Sarah Palin's Alaska), except she turned it down. Newsmax, of all places, got wind of this first, with Palin telling the site, "Todd and I have always loved working with Mark Burnett, and our family is always up for adventure, so never say never."
Aha, so in a weird way Palin is being coy with that quote, almost telling Mark Burnett again, through Newsmax that she's still potentially interested. It seems that part of the problem up to this point has been location, with Palin bristling at the idea of relocating to New York or Los Angeles, as Burnett is requiring that she do. Newsmax explains to us that "Palin has a distaste for cultural elites in the Big Apple and L.A., one person familiar with the discussions said." Hm. Isn't a former Vice Presidential candidate who's had a television show before and has published two books and is being offered another television show by one of the biggest producers in the business something of a cultural elite herself? I'd certainly think so!
Anyway, maybe Palin will decide to do it after all, if they figure out a way to allow her to travel back to Alaska frequently enough and if they give her the right payday. Is that something we'd want to watch?(continued)

She's a media person through and through. That's her background...that's what she likes...that's what she will wind up doing....PBS...Palin Style.
Who wouldn’t want to live in NY or LA? </ sarc>
This liberal is just negotiating terms for Palin.anything to get her to accept a tv show that will keep her out of running for President. This is what liberals fear Sarah running for president and they will say or do anything to stop her. she should do what they don’t want and run
Allow her? LOL!
Really. Or did congress pass a law requiring travel documents while I was asleep last night?
President Reagan had a very successful television show, as I recall.
One main reason Palin didn’t rub was because her career at FOX news. she would have had to quit that career and lucrative job which she always wanted to run. She ended up quiting anyway much after the election. coincidence? or did FOX news keep her own to keep her out of the race. she was in broadcasting early on (used to be on news) . The FOX gig was like a dream to her and she got paid well but would have had to quit that to run. My thinking is Fox pushed her out after the election. maybe some liberals like sheperd around there

I would certainly jump at the chance, here I sit on eight acres in South Carolina and it’s awful. The danged honeysuckle is so robust this year that it perfumes the whole yard, I can’t go and look at my Blueberry crop without smelling all that dadgummed honeysuckle. The Mockingbirds are refusing to nest in my Scuppernong vines and there is a crazy Raccoon wandering around in the middle of the day, he even climbed a dogwood so he could look in the window at my wife and me today. The fig tree looks as though it will make more than I can eat this year, what am I supposed to do with all the dadblamed figs? The wild Blackberries are setting fruit like crazy, just one more problem, I can’t do anything with a hundred gallons of Blackberries. Oh, well, Sam says he will make some homemade wine out of some of them.
Yeah, I’d love to move to concrete heaven, rub elbows with “elite” liberals and breathe smog all day, the only problem is that I have spent about fifteen minutes in LA once and about that long in NY and I just cannot decide which is the most wonderful. Maybe I’ll take that hour and a half drive to Myrtle and sit on the beach and think it over. Of course I could just go to Chicago, I have been there three times in the middle of winter so I know just how wonderful it is.
“He thinks he’s cute.”
That’s funny. I was thinking the exact same thing.
I shore feel sorry fer ya! Whaddaya do when them durned hardwood leaves start turnin’ all them colors? It’s gotta be mity hard on yer eyes, do ya hafta wear shades? I reckon when tha snow flies ya don’t git tuh see a liberal hardly, it’s gotta be mity lonesome.
It’s our cross to bear. I was fine until I heard of your situation, but coupled with your isolation I’m just not sure we can soldier on. We’ll try if you do.
Brag much?
My wife says the same thing...I point out that she has much better in-laws than I.
Insufferable much?
Is “much” your favorite word?
Just today, I’ll check my calendar for tomorrows word.
Be good.
You too.
