True the article states it found “genetic material from E. coli bacteria”. That’s a whole lot different than finding E coli.

Jump in a pond, stream, river whatever and it will likely have far higher levels of bacteria than a properly maintain public pool.

no kidding

freepers always jump off the cliff as concern bots

im old

been in pools forever..and will this summer at our little club pool a mile away..which has a diving board btw....something else concern ninnies have destroyed

still here for now

who would deprieve their kid of pool time with their buddies over this alarmist garbage

like you said....any pond or slow moving stream except in really cool places will likely be worse

i was at very high altitudes many years ago hiking (13,000 or so) between Ouray and Lake City CO near the Animas rivers and drank high above the tree line spring or snow leak water and got sick as a dog on the drive back to Dallas ...

years and years I had drank from mountains in Smokies and Appalachia to Alaska...and later in the Andes and Blue Mountains JA..and Alps too even

but that one got me..likely sheep or goat poop or marmot..something

cramps and fever ..didn’t kill me

summertime pools in Dixie...keeping your children from enjoying that is meaner than the very rare chance of a turd

and pee...does anyone think a cup of kids pee in a 100,000 gallon pool means anything?

keeping pools clean is a big help and requires a good cleaner or diligent lifeguards
