Netanyahu: Israel Acting to Deny Hizbullah Syrian Arms

Israel is acting to prevent Syrian weapons from reaching Lebanon's Hizbullah and will continue to do so, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said on Sunday, AFP reports.

His remarks came two weeks after air strikes near Damascus that were widely attributed to Israel, which a senior Israeli source said were aimed at preventing the transfer of sophisticated Iranian arms to Hizbullah, the Lebanese Shiite ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Netanyahu said the Middle East was going through its most sensitive period for decades, with the conflict in Syria at the center of the turmoil.

"We are closely following developments and changes there, and we are prepared for any scenario," he said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting.

This is a follow-up to my post from last night.

See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3021206/posts

The important line from that post is:

"The [Syrian] army has received orders to strike central Israel in case additional attacks against Syria are carried out, according to the Sunday Times."

The important line from this post is:

[Quoting Netanyahu] "Israel is acting to prevent Syrian weapons from reaching Lebanon's Hizbullah and will continue to do so..."

This confirms what Netanyahu communicated through a "senior Israeli official" last Wednesday. See http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/168028

"A senior Israeli official signaled on Wednesday that Israel was considering further military strikes on Syria to stop the transfer of advanced weapons to Islamist Hizbullah – and warned President Bashar Assad against any kind of retaliation against the Jewish state.

The New York Times quoted the Israeli official who said, “Israel is determined to continue to prevent the transfer of advanced weapons to Hizbullah. The transfer of such weapons to Hizbullah will destabilize and endanger the entire region.”

The Russians have made is clear that they will continue to arm Syria.

See http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/168060 published 5/17/2013.

Russia to Arm Syria, Despite Israel's Objection

"Russia's Foreign Minister clarifies his country intends to complete the deal to sell advanced missile systems to Syria."

Bottom line: The Syrian army now has a standing order to attack central Israel if Israel strikes Syria again. Russia will go ahead with advanced missle system deliveries to Syria. Israel will act to prevent the delivery and/or implementation of those missle systems. Syria will fire missles at central Israel. Israel will defend itself. Many people in Israel will die as a result. Israel will destroy Syria.

At least the hezzies won’t be able to account for arms smuggled from Libya. One way or the other.

So just curious, what is your opinion on the Benghazi connection, under the theory that Obama is covertly sending arms to the Syrian rebellion? I’m confused about that. Hezbollah is anti-Israel, AQ and Muslim Brotherhood are anti-Israel, yet they appear to be in conflict with each other in Syria, and if the Benghazi theory is true, why has Obama picked the side he did, and how does this affect the US position toward Israel?

I ask because I suspect that buried in the deep parts of this Benghazi mystery we will find reasons for the cover-up that go beyond the anti-AQ messaging of the presidential campaign, and even beyond the gun-running to the Syrian rebels, but go to the heart of our positioning in the Arab-Israeli conflict.

In my opinion, Benghazi was meant to be a Dem scripted “we’ll make the One a hero!” moment just before the election, but the actors on the ground did not play their scripted parts.

Concerning Obama on Syria, I do not know. However, I suspect that he is a boy puppet who does not know what to do without his puppet masters pulling his strings. His puppet masters want world wide control. In order to accomplish this, non-pliable dictators must be deposed and replaced with actors who are willing to sing the puppet masters’ song.

It might be as simple as “follow the money.” But when you get to a certain level, money becomes irrelevant. Then it might be as simple as “follow the power.”

Whoever is doing this wants absolute control.
