May I ask how someone who apparently has just moved back in with her mother, is unemployed, and is planning to start school at a local community college can possibly afford a birthday trip to Hawaii with a group of friends?

Something I find very confusing is what is a 29 year old woman who is with her friends and boyfriend of 8 years doing privately talking with a man she doesn't know outside a bar alone at 2:15AM on a group vacation? Where was her man and her friends? She travelled all the way to Hawaii with these people for HER birthday. Seems not to fit the big picture of what is being drawn here.

THere is NO reason short of copping some dope (that her friends or boyfriends wouldn't be into and thus they weren't there also) that she alone would be hanging out with a stranger at that time. Unless she had grown cold of her man.

I bet things are much more complicated than being explained. Much, much more. This is not the behavior of a woman in the situation being described. Something is missing here.
