I mentioned the other day that the Justice Department's secretive snooping on AP reporters was not just a personal violation of privacy, but in fact a threat to their ability to do their jobs and a threat to everyone's ability to report on the Obama administration.

Gary Pruitt, AP's CEO confirmed on CBS Face the Nation Sunday that in fact, his organization is already finding government sources are more reluctant to talk to them now because of what happened.

Silly comment.

AP’s “sources” are members of the Obama administration. AP simply transcribes what those administration operatives tell them.

So, of course, it’s monitored by the White House.

Everyone who has ever said anything against Obama either on the internet or over the phone is now being monitored by the Federal government. Don’t kid yourselves.

I have doubts that AP was the only ‘news’ organization that was ‘scrutinized’.

Maybe some enterprising Congressperson might ask that in one of the hearings.

Hey, AP, why don’t you regain the historical position of the press of being a check on government,

instead of its advocate?

Exactly. Associated Propagandists with a bad whine here.

Actually, I don’t have a problem with it. I’d rather not have people in the government leaking crap - it has undercut the hell out of Republican presidents in the past.

Maybe we make them consent to be monitored at any time, in any way, if they want to keep their job.

Looks like all that fluffing the media did for Obama didn’t pay off after all.
Wonder if they think getting to go to the parties was worth it?.

Right, that’s why THE GOVERNMENT broke the story! “We are watching you, so if you are a whistle-blower, we will know and destroy you.” And it’s working. These guys should read more spy novels and use throw away phones.

I hope they sweat through the nights, terrified that every siren is headed for their door. I hope ever click on their telephone frightens them. I hope they puddle their chair every time they write a story about The Illegally-Elected Kenyan. They deserve it.

I can because I have that same hatred. And I've never hated anyone in my 60 years. The problem is that we conservatives see through him. We are on to his con game and have been since day one. The other half of the country is beyond stupid.
