I remember the destruction in Iraq. That was heartbreaking enough. But that photo here, tore at me.

No doubt. I’ve seen a lot scary, bad, & sad things in my life and, usually, I can deal with it...but, for some reason, this one hurts more than most.

I think it must the complete and total destruction conveyed in those pictures

Notice the mom's right hand, she also appears to be consoling the child held by her father.

I feel bad for the bare footed girl. It's sad no one can carry her.

This is heartbreaking. IMO it is also a case for homeschooling or at least smaller neighborhood schools. Whether the treat of a natural disaster or terrorist attack, it is a bad thing to have so many kids concentrated into one spot.

All you freepers can make fun of me and/or flame away. Woke up this morning edgy and anxious. I live in So Cal so I was thinking earthquake. Asked my boss if she was feeling edgy and anxious. She said not so much. Called a relative and asked them the same question. They replied yes, but chalked it up to all the heavy news over the last few days. Couldn't shake the feeling all morning. Stopped working and took my smartphone to read the bible lesson for a few minutes. Felt a little more at peace. Then this evening I hear about Moore OK driving home. Now your picture Java shows me the utter devastation the populace has gone through. I hope my prayers were of some help to someone today. I want to weep, but will be strong. At times such as this Americans are at their finest hour. My prayers will continue this night for the residents of Moore OK. God bless you all and keep you strong through this trial.

This is by KFOR in OKC. Almost the entire event from the time it left Newcastle.

I don’t think there are chopper pilots that will fly within a mile of a storm like this anywhere but Oklahoma.
