That’s how the dems work it. Round-up the victims of whatever disaster is in vogue at the moment and use it to their advantage. The caring party, the concerned party, the “We are with you party”, It doesn’t matter who or what it is, they will use it for photo-ops, speeches and campaigning.

People are desperate for help and Simon Legree shows up tol end a helping hand.

By the end of today or tomorrow, Obama will be climbing on the bodies of the Oklahoma tornado dead to spout his usual slimy vileness, using the death of innocents to sow hate and blame.

the cosmic injustice of allowing all murderers to live and that capital punishment is a moral imperative

This sentiment is great in theory, and I agree with it - in theory. The problem is that over zealous prosecutors, in a hurry to make a name so that they can move up the ladder, don't give a D@MN about innocence or guilt and put away innocent people. I'm not talking about how "everybody in prison didn't do it", or about "Free Mumia". I'm talking about instance after instance where prosecutors were unethical or didn't really care about guilt or innocence - they just wanted a conviction to get their names in the paper.

At this point, IMHO, the death penalty is just another government program gone bad.
