The tornado missed my house by 1 mile. I just got power back a bit ago. As far as I’m concerned we’ll rebuild by ourselves if the federal government will get out of our lives.

God bless you and your neighbors. Frankly, I don’t object to federal monies to help communities struck by natural disasters. Of all the wasteful federal spending out there, disaster relief is a small amount of money that usually does some good. I respect your self-reliant attitude.

I’m glad that the tornado missed you, and that you finally have power again. It’s a horrid thing to experience that kind of devastation, and I hope the families there can find a way to build ‘tornado proof’ homes if that means they have to build them partially underground (berm type houses). Moore seems to be a tornado alley within tornado alley and they ‘re bound to go through this again :(

People in OK are fantastic people! I’ve lived in OK and I love it there, and I know first hand what a great people you are!!

Hang in there and continue to be kind to one another. It makes you hands above the rest!
