Yep. Prosecute....if it’ll save just one girl from losing her virginity to an ignorant senior football player (as you put it), then it will be worth it.
No high school students should be engaging in sex....in bathrooms or otherwise. Seniors should know better.

One of my hobbies is geneology. Turns out my great-grandmother got married at 13, and had my paternal grandmother at 14. My great-grandfather was 17 at the time.
This was not considered unusual.
Whether you like it or not, teens have sex, outside of marriage. They always have, and they always will. Heck, way back in the 1970s, we had a girl in my 8th grade class get pregnant. And the really amusing part is, they didn’t positively identify the father until AFTER the birth and a blood test: the girl admitted to sleeping with 5 different guys in a little over a week.
The fact is, BOTH girls are gay. And the prosecution, according to the reports, is at the request of the younger girl’s parents. I wonder if they would have demanded a prosecution if their daughter’s lover was a boy. . .
