what i’ve read posted here about prosecution of citizens using guns against burglars and self defense has come from uk papers. daily mail, and others. not american papers.
A tiny amount have been charged, let alone jailed.
I have explained here many times what the UK process is when someone dies during a burglary. It seems a bit backward to Americans.
