Issa is calling her back because Issa knows he got rolled today.
He should have gone down a list of questions and let her plead the fifth.
Instead, the video of her proclaiming her innocence is getting heavy rotation
On news channels, which is exactly what Lerner intended. She should have
been humiliated for the war on conservatives she waged. Issa let her off
the hook way to easily.

I’m impressed with what I’ve seen of Mr. Gowdy. Is he a strong conservative and presidential material? Afterall, it is going to take a no nonsense fighter to right this sinking ship called the “USA Republic”.

That’s right.

Until Mizz Lerner actually testifies under oath in such a manner that actually implicates someone in a position of authority, nothing has been accomplished other than her declaration of innocence.

And even if Issa calls her back, what guarantee is there that she will answer any question at all?

What if she just sits there?

I watched nearly all of today’s testimony. She will be back. If not there, then by subpoena and independent investigation. They’re just getting warmed up. I saw much obfuscation and/or utter incompetence in IRS leadership on display here. No way they’re going to run 0bamacare. No way they’re getting away with this.

I give credit to the I.G. I think he is a stand up guy with integrity and no axe to grind. But I notice several times as he was seated next to these IRS ‘officials’...he couldn’t hide the look of disdain and contempt. I think he was stymied at times during his audit. He made mention of Lerner being present while employees were being audited...and that she attempted to stop the audit in the first place.

But she’s still a symptom of the larger problem..the organization itself. They’ve replaced one incompetent bozo with another incompetent bozo. Dismantle it by reforming the tax code.

If someone has a traffic accident or gets shot by some random drive or walk by (the passport guy?) the rest better talk fast and loud. That is the only protection against meeting the same fate. Once a whistleblower sings he removes the profit from his demise and killing him becomes more dangerous for them than leaving him alone.

It’s proof Republicans are racists and hate women, blacks and puppies.

I guess I’m a bit of a downer, too. This has reached the point where congress HAS to win this one, or literally the republic is over. As I said on the live hearing thread in response to an optimistic post about the press being upset with Obama:

I find myself asking, “So what if the press is upset with their creation?”

Ask yourself, “The actions of the IRS were so egregious, so open, so immediately after Obama’s chastising the SCOTUS in his State of the Union over Citizens United, how could they think they wouldn’t get caught?” My theory is that they didn’t care if they were caught.

Congress and the Supreme Court have no army to enforce anything. Obama has a sycophant press, and just showed them that they had better stay in line. Obama has a corrupt DOJ, so there will never be an indictment. Obama has the DHS (Thank you, GWB), who shows up in their intimidating glory, complete with helicopters, at Tea Party rallies, because your grandma and grandpa are potential terrorists.

In short, Obama now has the Executive Branch so thoroughly in control of the country that he can blatantly subvert the work of Congress and the Supreme Court in your face with no real fear of consequences.

In the end, only if there is a wholesale defection of democrats can anything be done to Obama and/or his administration. That’s what did Nixon in finally. Since most democrats agree with Obama’s ideology, it probably won’t happen in this case. Posturing, yes. Defection, no.

Caesar has entered Rome. The senate will have to be happy with whatever crumbs he dispenses.

Issa was told by Bonehead to go easy. Can’t appear to have a war on women, even though there has been an ongoing war on conservatives
by Rats and Rino’s.

Whether Issa is pulling back on a mistake or it was a preplanned setup, the lady needs to sing loudly to devalue her demise.

She ain’t going to sing. She has already proclaimed her innocence.
Plus she has a video of her self serving innocence statement getting heavy rotation
on news channels, which is exactly what she wanted.

And with everything that’s going on, he spends the first 30-minutes of today’s show talking about himself. I turned it off.

And if she “does turn over the rock” and incriminates Clinton and Bambi? What then?

Will he be going after them, fast and furious or fold because the stakes are too high?

How do you invoke the protection against self-incrimination if you “didn’t do anything wrong”? What’s to incriminate?

What if she just sits there?

She'll be found in contempt of Congress and suffer severe penalties. Just ask Eric Holder. They should print Congressional contempt charges on 2 ply...this group wipes their asses with Congressional contempt charges. They'll do what they want, when they want, how they want, cause there ain't nobody to stop them. We are outnumbered and their numbers will only grow. Not only will this continue at the IRS, other Federal, State and local governments will follow the IRS' example. We are well and truly screwed.

Definitely agree.

If congress isn’t going to enforce it’s own powers and duties, why should anyone fear it or respect it or pay it any mind whatsoever?

I don’t even respect congress anymore.

Yep. I’m just turning him off more and more. Seems almost like he’s just quiting the fight, more interested in proving he’s right about his theorem than turning it to advantage in trying to oust the Marxists. What good is that? Hannity, though he’s got issues of his own, is at least cheerleading for a win. But my favorite at the moment is Mark Levin. His Landmark Legal Foundation inquiry via Treasury is probably the flywheel that gave this scandal some real momentum. But Rush has to get back in the game or he’ll lose me.
