Never heard that about VW. Knew the English cars had that reputation.
I had a pal buy a Jetta and a Passat brand new a few years back. Both vehicles suffered disastrous breakdowns of the electrical system at the worst times. He went from “highly supportive” to “OMG why...WHY?!?” - lol...I warned him, too!
