Those 2 need to grow up. Instead, both act worse than children by attacking each other on air.

I find both to be intelligent men who contribute much to conservatism. I also find it amusing that they dislike each other immensely. But, yes, they do act like children throwing toys at each other. Its an ego trip - I believe Savage has the bigger ego of the two.
I heard that Levin rant by chance, I rarely listen to Mark Levin and I was surprised at how personal and nasty the attack was. I mean Savage does call certain hosts names but I don’t think he gets this personal, Levin was implying things about Savage that were very gutter like. And Levin was going into the purported letter from Savage to Allen Ginsberg that is on the internet, first off I don’t know if it has been proven that it is a real letter and not a hoax.
Secondly, the letter reads as if Savage is playing to Ginsberg’s effete sensibilities and he is trying to impress him, I don’t think necessarily that the letter is meant to be taken as fact.
The other big thing of course that Levin likes to taunt Savage with is his former name “Weiner”, to me that is really no big deal, many celebrities have changed their names over the year, look at John Stewart and countless actors.

IIRC Savage started the name calling -- on-air at least -- shortly after he was syndicated -- he considers it part of the competition I've heard him say a few times. No I cannot remember the dates and times.
I had listened to every minute (literally) of his (4PM - 7PM) shows up until he left KSFO. I still listen regularly but not with that much devotion. I don't care what goes on "inside baseball" and I wish Savage, Levin, et al would keep it there.
I do know that Savage was attacked verbally by the liberals on sister station KGO in those days and he may have had a battle with San Francisco radio legend Jim Eason at the time also on conservative KSFO.
Savage would sometimes counter the KGO liberals but Savage rarely referred to his fellow KSFO on-air personalities and rarely did they refer to him. Usually time slots were the means of the references.
Savage has called Levin some equally ugly names, the example I have included is not the worst.. often the malicious comments mock Levin as an old woman. IIRC Levin got involved in a role to speak for Limbaugh and Hannity in response to Savage.
I heard Levin Thursday something must have happened recently to really tick off one or all three of them. He repeated his threat to devote an hour to telling the dirt on Savage that's out there.
Levin mentioned Savage's comments about autism. Levin has it wrong. He was just repeating the misconceptions that are out there. I did cursory research and I found Dr. Stephen Camarata of Vanderbilt University an expert on autism whose work generally agrees with what I recall Savage saying about autism vis-a-vis the medical conditions and the diagnostic aspects.
Start a 2:50 for the example of Savage talking about Levin.
I remember that. And I remember Bill Cunningham who had just taken over for Matt Drudge Sunday nights nationally thought Savage was attacking him as a "tinhorn lawyer," "fake" and worse. Cunningham started the "You're a great American" saying and his friend Hannity uses it too.
That really bothered Cunningham for a couple of weeks. He opened his shows with the clip IIRC. I guess someone eventually told him that Savage was talking about Levin.
I know that radio is the land of EGOS and foremost it's a business.
Nevertheless it serves America's interest and that should be its primary role. I've listen since the early '40s. A couple or three crews have come and gone. Radio is still here and now w/o the "Fairness Doctrine." And w/o Top 40 thank the Lord!
A radio host is not the home team. I do not have a number one favorite.

That's how it started out.
I moved over to listen to another program then checked back.
By that time the show was live (certainly seemed live) and pretty good; but it's getting a little tiresome hearing how tired of current events he his especially since we listeners are the ne'er-do-well lazy, worthless, ineffectual, unsuccessful, uneducated, completely lacking in merit, good-for-nothing, hats-on-backwards, porn-craving, dregs of humanity who are letting Obama, et al get away with evil doings. :)
