I’d say it probably has to do with economics. It’s more expensive to raise children in CA regardless of the sexual orientation of the parents or guardians.

One reason that comes to mind is that conservative states love and protect kids. Liberal states hate unborn kids, has fewer kids and the culture is hostile to kids.

I would think that same sex couples raising kids would rather live where their kids are able to be around other kids.

Just some thoughts.

How do the numbers compare for opposite sex couples raising children?

“Mississippi was ranked one of the top 10 worst states to raise a kid period. “

By the standards of liberal homosexuals because they are not taught to hate the country and to celebrate deviant homosexuals?

Also, less of a homo underground in Mississippi where they could roll around in the muck instead.
Why would any queer raise a family in California, when San Francisco is right there?

Then again, I disagree with them raising “families” at all. Biological dead end.

Maybe gays flee to straight states because they are terrified of getting AIDs, like the libs fleeing their cities hate the results of.....

This data seems suspect.

Same sex couples with adopted children are only around 20% of gay “families.” Which leaves a rather large question hanging in the air? Are the other 80% largely lesbian couples?

I don’t think this particular data in this article adds up. I’d suspect that the number is much, much lower than 25% even in MS or VA and that the data is so sparse that it really tells us nothing at all.

Who the hell can afford to live, let alone raise a family, in California?

In other words, they are not fleeing to the states that allow same-sex marriage.

They have to establish residency and legal precedence. It is about agenda, not "stable relationships" and "recognized marriage where society is more evolved".

“...check out the full map showing where gays are having kids...”

Homosexuals do not “have” children. They buy them but they do not procreate. It would be better for a child to be raised by an illiterate but traditional married couple in a poor farm shack than be “raised” by Elton John and his “partner”.

Stories such as this only report about legal child abuse.

Shocking or expected, it actually appears that the majority of kids in homosexual households are from previous relationships.

Is sexuality immutable? It would appear that this piece of data suggests “no.”

Even homosexuals need a JOB to live. Those are hard to come by in California these days, but plentiful in red states.

As the map indicates it is metro areas. South Memphis and Jackson do not reflect the true make-up of Mississippi demographics on this issue. Again skew the data to make your argument.

But they are part of Mississippi, right? Wouldn’t taking them out present a false picture?

It does seem odd that you don’t see homosexual families being raised in :”gay meccas” such as The Castro, doesn’t it??

Could it be that homosexuals raising children don’t want those kids surrounded by what goes on in places such as The Castro??? Just wondering..............

So. Whats the point? Pass legislation banning gay marriage and gays will have more kids.

Probably because most pro homo folks aren’t raising kids.
