Eckert makes the same point I did in an earlier FR comment.
Id rather have one committee with Trey Gowdy as chairman.
5 committees dilute the process in the same way that Romney was able to win out over the many conservative alternatives.
One strong committee forces the media to focus on one storyline. Gowdy is a bulldog, and he will get that storyline out.
All the dribbles from 5 committee ego-heads will just be ignored by the press and be called overkill to boot.
Does Gowdy support a select committee?
