“I’m not certain the ‘problem’ justifies the solution.”

I’m not a “greenie”, but from what I have read & seen, floating trash is a big problem on rivers & lakes and a huge problem where ocean currents cause it to congregate.

Floating plastic trash can be either recycled or since much of it is petroleum based plastic, makes a high energy fuel.

BTW, the “developing world” is a major contributor also.

I don’t like pollution and I’ve never seen it worse than in the 3rd world, but I still am not convinced it is a ‘big problem’. How do you even define it and why is it a problem?
