Scouting began dying at least 20 years ago. This is the death rattle. It may go on but not like it was.
So sad, I’m glad Dad is not here to see it. He was a Scoutmaster for most of 25 years and active long after that with the council in building facilities for Scouts. I am sorry I have to see it. Our three Eagles are ashamed.
Maybe the Eagles could make a stand. It would be very difficult and frought with spiritual battle that they’d have to be ready for. they’d have to have a commitment ot prayer from some serious groups, but then it could be done.

It seems they could legally, perhaps, and it’s logical, that the oath does not include the acceptance of this.
