Sounds like you’re describing Rand ;)

Only knock on Rand is immigration but he will come around before the primaries. Rand will coalition build with libertarian/constitutionalist conservatives, social conservatives and fiscal conservatives. In other words, he can bring the oalition that Reagan brought together in 1980.

Well, Rand has been doing pretty good to date. I’m not at all inclined to badmouth him. But I do absolutely hate his amnesty/illegals plan. And I’m particularly wary of him leaning too much in a libertarian direction on issues like gay marriage, dope, and the aforementioned border issues. A primary would bring a lot of that into focus. They are indeed killer issues with me.
