Openly homosexual men (gay means happy, there is nothing happy about sodomy) are not allowed membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do not know about spin offs or break away groups but homosexuals and lesbians CANNOT be Latter Day Saints or hold any leadership in the church, period. Unless, of course they are lying to their leaders about their homosexuality.

Wrong and wrong. It was big news last year, an OPENLY homosexual man was called (and still is) as the assistant to the SP in a stake in Northern California.

This is mainstream LDS, not a breakoff. Sorry bud, but your leaders are caving. Even the news article stated he was openly homosexual and the LDS leadership knew it. Want the source?

How will you react when the ‘revelation’ comes down from SLC allowing gay marriage in the temples?

Also, a guy I dated when I lived in Utah (who later decided he was homosexual) was open about it and had a nice LDS funeral when he died in a car accident last year. His boyfriend was president and he was EQ leader. Of course, his parents are wealthy so that may have something to do with it.
