Some irony in that statement.
Prior to the era where time came to a standstill, somewhere around 610 AD, the barbarians were in reality settled in Western Europe, not Persia. And also prior to the unequaled gear jam of that infamous 7th century, the Persians in many centuries prior were responsible for salvaging the great works of Alexandria — works ultimately to be recast as ... here we go... the ‘Great Works’ of sand dwellers. By the way, it was the Christians that dealt old Rome that harrowing blow. A lot of good stuff was lost, but such is the cost for a well deserved and “prolonged backlash”. The Christians later kicked the crap out of the conical Barbarians and civilized Western Europe diligently recording and brewing for the next thousand years. And here’s where the fun of contemporary mathematics and physics began. In the backyard of Barbarians!
If the British government did their job, protected their citizens by protecting their borders and profile to find Muslims with terrorist ties then these “Islamaphobic” attacks wouldn’t occur or be necessary.

First of all, we need to find out what "attacks on Muslims" means. People have been arrested in England for nasty comments on Twitter and that counted as an "attack". Don't trust the Guardian and don't trust the British Government to be honest.
And yet the French, Dutch, Germans and everyone and their dog has predicted the demise of the UK and it’s not happened. A thousand years of documented history is the proof that your statement is facile. The end of the world will happen tomorrow, that’s the same argument that hasn’t happened for 2000 years. The question is how long will the USA be a power? Another 10 years, 100 years, 1000 years?
