Allah be praised---bomber Tamarlan Tsarnaev was a devout Muslim: Tamarlan played, prayed, sold/smoked a few joints, slit a few throats, blew up a kid, chewed up a few Bostonians' legs, beat up his girlfriend, high-fived his friends, had money to burn, drove a luxury US car, rode the US gravy train under several identities (see Tam's reading list on Amazon WRT his interest in establishing multiple identities).
.......and after the bombings, a flurry of US govt phone calls following the explosions were NOT about the unfolding investigation.
Representatives from the US Departments of Justice and Homeland Security called to offer support to Muslim communities......just in case THEY suffered backlash or threats.
