IRS Chief's 118 White House Visits Must Be Explained

Scandal: One IRS commissioner visited Obama's White House 118 times in 2010 and 2011. His successor also dropped in often. But under George W. Bush, the tax chief visited once in four years. Time for an audit.

IRS Schedule O

As the Washington Examiner noted last weekend, ex-commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service Douglas Shulman went to the White House some 118 times in 2010 and 2011, while Steven Miller, the acting director who took over from Shulman last November, himself made numerous trips there, White House visitor logs show.

Business as usual for one of the most powerful arms of the federal government, you might think. Not so.

Mark Everson, who ran the IRS during most of the George W. Bush administration, from 2003 to 2007, apparently visited a single time, grousing that he felt like he had "moved to Siberia" because the tax collection agency was so out of the policy loop.

The alibi the White House has wedded itself to is that it had to work closely with the IRS to implement ObamaCare. But House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., says "it's hard to believe" the IRS' abusive targeting of Tea Party and other conservative groups did not enter into the conversations that took place at these meetings, at least "in passing."

After they got wiped out in 2010, the thugs got together and decided to do something about the TEA Party, and they did. They couldn’t have BO getting shellacked again. He can’t take it.

Collusion, collaboration, and conspiracy, regarding methods, policies, executive orders and any other circumvention of the Constitution, to undermine political opposition and destroy the fabric of this Republic.

118? It could be quite a few more..

I went to the searchable US News logs

http://www.usnews.com/whitehouse/visitors

....and found these visits heavily clustered from around April 2010 to October 25, 2010, about 80 visits in 7 months. The site shows no records for Shulman suddenly after October 25, 2010, a total of 102 before the 25th.

“First of all, how did they know that Obamascare was going to be considered a tax?”

In my opinion this is irrelevant. The IRS was given responsibility for Obamacare compliance not because it is a tax, but because it is the only existing federal agency with the (presupposed) ability and experience to monitor and enforce compliance. If Obamacare had been declared constitutional without “Roberts rule” of it being a tax, the IRS would still administer the collection of “fines” or “penalties” for non-compliance.

Pelosi and Reid could have had the law written to give that responsibility to HHS, but that agency does not have anywhere near the infrastructure and experience to take it on. As it is, the IRS is supposed to need something like 16,000 new employees. It was perhaps supposed that HHS would have needed far more, and still would have had to use the SSN as an identification means.

The IRS was chosen simply because it was convenient.

I’ll bet you anything IRS Chief, Doug Schulman, met with Obama’s right hand man, Valerie Jarrett—and also David Axelrod.

...For a VTC with George Soros.
