I’m sure the folks in New York and Illinois enjoy having one party rule at all levels of government. The folks at Pew, in their delusional minds, think those two states are leftist nirvanas and not the economic and social wastelands that the liberals created there.
I can't speak to IL, but in NY, two party rule IS one party rule.....has been for a looooong time. Remember Govs. Rockefeller, Wilson and Pataki? How about Sen. Javitz and those whiz-bang NYC Mayors, Lindsay and Bloomberg. They ALL sported the (R) after their names. Last but far from least, let us not forget the total SNAFU that was NY 23. So ya see, it ain't so much that folks in NY enjoy one party rule, it's just that it's the only game in town.
