The White House will not be pushing for a special prosecutor to handle the IRS scandal involving the targeting of conservative groups, even as three-fourths of Americans are calling for one.

Asked aboard Air Force One about a Quinnipiac University poll that showed 76 percent of Americans want a special prosecutor to handle the case, White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said the administration isn

They won’t stop doing it and they won’t investigate it.

People understand IRS audits, and rightly fear misuse of same. Even Dems!

Not any longer. :(

The Republicans should be shouting two messages:

(1) Where is the transparency?

(2) If there is nothing to hide, why can't we get any answers?

Of all our governmental institutions, the IRS should be the most open and transparent because they are the institution with the most power and highest potential for tyranny. Everyone, conservative or liberal, should be outraged.

Yes, that is exactly what the progressive democrats have been trying to do for a long time now.

First it was the DHS trying to intimidate the Tea Party in 2009 with their new guidelines on who is an extremist or potential terror threat. Adding Tea Party, Patriots, Catholics etc. to The List. And make no mistake about it, this now permeates military training and reserve training. Occupy Wall Street? Naw, they are not on the list despite causing major mayhem in NY and CA.

Then as the Tea Party started getting legs, protests, and don’t think for a minute the progressive democrats were frightened by marches in DC and gatherings at the Lincoln Memorial, etc. They downplayed their fears, but upgraded their reaction. Senators etc. literally mailing the IRS to target these ‘new conservative/patriot’ groups.

2010 rocked their precious world when they lost the House. They thought Pelosi was the heroin of the nation for shoving 0bamacare down our throats as ‘good medicine.’ Only to find, they lost the House because of it.

We need to keep in mind, and this is key, our success was because the conservative movement is not centralized. Remember the Alinsky tactic is to single out, target & demonize. That meant the only way to go after us is individually and to try and hit us where it hurts. If Occupy Wall Street could not get it done...the IRS could. Along with other government agencies meant to rein-in business through regulations.

The question now for conservatives...we had fun, we blew off some steam, we marched, we protested and what did we get for our efforts? INTIMIDATED.

Well, this is now where we separate the Sunshine Patriots out. It is not going to get easier from here. It is only going to get more difficult.

“Why isn’t anyone shouting this from the rooftops( calling Coulter, Malking, Palin, Rush , Levin, Drudge?)” You ask a good question, but as Mike Trivasanno from WTAM often reminds his listeners...’these people are entertainers first and foremost.’ Are they Sunshine Patriots? The longer they remain silent the more they reveal their answer.

Caution needs to be exercised here because if ‘we the people’ determine our ballot box has been so far corrupted to nullify the election...these leaves only one choice and keep in mind DHS has been prepping for that choice. And that tells me all I need to know about the regime.

IRS Commissioner #1 Cabinet Visitor to White House and Obama Knew Nothing?

Posted 1 hour ago by Dave Jolly Filed under Ethics, Government, Politics, Scandals

President Barack Obama has claimed that he knew nothing about the IRS scandal involving the targeting of tea party and other conservative groups. In fact, he claims to have known nothing about Benghazi, Fast and Furious and the DOJ scandal involving AP reporters. I haven’t heard him say anything about the EPA targeting of conservative groups, but I’m sure he’d say he nothing about it either. It seems that Obama is the greatest know-nothing president we’ve ever had.

The contrast

Bush welcomes probe of CIA leak
'I want to know the truth,' president tells reporters

< WASHINGTON (CNN) --President Bush said Tuesday he welcomes a Justice Department investigation into who revealed the classified identity of a CIA operative.

"If there's a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is," Bush told reporters at an impromptu news conference during a fund-raising stop in Chicago, Illinois. "If the person has violated law, that person will be taken care of.

"I welcome the investigation. I am absolutely confident the Justice Department will do a good job.

"I want to know the truth," the president continued. "Leaks of classified information are bad things."

He added that he did not know of "anybody in my administration who leaked classified information."

Bush said he has told his administration to cooperate fully with the investigation and asked anyone with knowledge of the case to come forward.

U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft said Tuesday the criminal investigation was launched Friday and the White House and CIA were asked to preserve all documents that might be relevant to the probe.

I think that Dick Morris is on to something.

http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/morris-obama-irs-scandal/2013/05/30/id/507260?s=al&promo_code=13AD1-1

“The incredible frequency of the White House visits — essentially weekly — indicate that Obama must have been deeply involved with the inner workings of the audits and harassment of conservative groups,” Morris writes on his website.

Morris asks what other reason would have brought Schulman to the White House 157 times during the period that groups with “tea party,” “patriot” and other conservative buzzwords in their names were being targeted for extra scrutiny.

“Not ObamaCare. Not without having (Health and Human Services) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in attendance, you wouldn’t,” Morris says. “About Treasury issues? Deficit reduction? Not without Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner.”

The reason, Morris says, is that Obama was following the IRS actions with an “obsessive, personal involvement.”

Why else would IRS Commissioner Douglas Schulman have visited the White House at least once a week?

While I don’t always agree with Dick he is spot on regarding the Shulman visits. Surely there is a log showing who Shulman met with on these visits or the purpose of his visits. You just don’t go there 157 times without somebody knowing what your business is that day. I am sure there is a written agenda for his trips if not then Dick is correct in that the visits were for working on targeting the Tea Party. I still think it involved Robert Bauer.

They should be shouting that the Obama administration used the IRS to rig the 2012 election.

The Easter egg roll requires much research and planning. It’s technical and the IRS are such experts at rolling people.

Thanks for this summary and link. I agree with you and Morris. The Obama “obsessive, personal involvement” theory may be supported by the handy “kill list” binder—mug shots and bios of terrorists—that gives him an intimacy with still living dead men.

Who thinks that an administration that attacks its ‘political enemies’ (their words) with the IRS is going to volunteer to have a true independent investigation into those attacks?

Anyone?

Please...

To date they’ve eluded justice, or even responsibility, for Fast and Furious, Benghazi and an infinite list of other crimes. Finally it’s possible to entertain a feeble hope that things have changed. Neither Nixon or Clinton were willing to appoint independent prosecutors until the public outcry got loud enough.
