In what country do you live?

What do people there say about the present state of affairs in the United States?

I have friends in Columbia and costa Rica and they think we’re crazy. They’re also scared because when/if the US goes down, they’re in trouble, too.

________________________________________________

I started international living in 2000, living part time in central Europe. My last time in the USA was Jan. 2005.

I moved from Slovakia to the Philippines in Jan. 2009.
Every day, I thank God that I am not back in the USSA.
I live on a beach with my wife and two year old son for much less then $1000 per month, and that includes rent.

I was wondering the same. If we can’t change things here, I want to know if there is someplace to go.

Yes, central and south America are very popular expat destinations.
Escape from America.com (escapeartist.com) and Internationalliving.com specialize in Central/South America.

People here in the Philippines are not interested in whats happening in the US.
Where I live, we have probably more European expats.
The Philippines are mostly suited to single men.
I rarely see western couples or families.
