He got the backdoor of the Rolls Royce opened and pointed the gun at Anne telling her to get out, she told him, ‘Not bloody likely’ and got out of the other side of her limo and escaped.
The would-be kidnapper was senteced to life inprisonment and all of the people shot survived their wounds.

Good point regarding the Princess Royal. She is very much her father’s daughter and doesn’t suffer fools. Anne may well be the toughest of the lot of them. She would have made an excellent monarch had circumstances been different.
