Report: Tebow’s Camp Says NFL Career Might Be Done
CBS ^ | 05/31/2013

The NFL might have seen its last bit of Tebowing.

A new report claims that some of those closest to Tim Tebow have suggested that the unemployed quarterback’s NFL career is likely done. ESPN’s David Fleming reports that members of Tebow’s own camp privately told him that his days in the league are “probably over.”

Not surprised. Also consider the growing anti-Christian thinking taking place as well.

Yeah, if only he could choke some dogs, smoke some crack, steal a laptop, get a couple of baby mamas pregnant and maybe even kill someone.... well then he’d fit in.

It’s probably all for the best. At least he’ll avoid the sh#t hole that the NFL has become. Probably be healthier and live a longer life. I bet if you ask Tebow, he’ll say it’s just the path God’s chosen for him. He’ll be fine I suspect.

Being only a casual fan of the NFL, my opinion is probably worth everything I’m charging for it (i.e. nothing). But I think Tebow would make a pretty good tight end.

Well, he still has health (it hasn’t been beaten out him like so many other players...) and hopefully has a few million put by. He should retire, buy a place near the beach, learn to surf and play guitar...

If so, I hope he sees it as God’s good providence for him. He’ll hopefully live a long, fruitful life without brain damage.

The problem is that his heart isn't in it. Years ago, the Rams wasted a third round pick on Heisman winning QB Eric Crouch. He wasn't an NFL ready QB, though he could have been a tight end. His heart wasn't in it, and nothing became of him. Well, that's not true. He IS a QB for the Omaha Nighthawks.

The NFL is a collection of multi-millionaires and misfits. Many belong in both categories.

Meanwhile, Jamarcus Russell is getting “serious interest” from teams. Tebow is too Christian and the wrong color to be a running QB in the NFL. He has never been given a chance to run an offense that is suited to his talents, and never will. He doesn’t look right for what the NFL wants. RGIII does. Cam Newton does. Geno Smith does.

I think Tebow should take the advice Bill Walsh used to give players who were not good enough to play in the NFL:

“It’s time to move on to your life’s work.”

If he was just queer, they would find a place for him.

If Tebow is willing to be converted into an option back like Kordell Stewart, he could still find an NFL team willing to use him.

Yea, all he did was win football games. How did Mr. Awesome-hall-of-famer Peyton Manning do in Denver last year? Oh wait that awful Tebow won more playoff games when he was there? But no matter he stinks, as evidence:Tebow took a stink up the field team turned them around on a winning streak made the playoffs and beat Pittsburgh, He lead his team to two national titles and was awarded a Heisman - man the stench on this guy. It is like he thinks the key to winning is scoring more points than the opponent- sheesh he doesn't even look good winning or have bimbo's on each arm. He is obviously a talentless QB whose only virtues are inspiring and elevating his team and winning games. PU - man that stinks! Get me a fornicating drunkard with a soon to be arrest record and to play the position like it supposed to be played.

Any team that picks up the Jamelephant deserves the bust that they'll be getting.

The NFL is becoming like a circus with its players acting more like performers than athletes. Everything is over-the-top and in your face. Its really become a silly spectacle.

Well said. I would add ‘spoiled, egotistical and immature’ to the list.

He’s better than many 2nd/ 3rd string QBs in the NFL. He’s being blackballed, plain and simple.

Tebow camp had denied this, btw, as Tim is still working out at IMG.

"Yea, all he did was win football games"

Bump! If given a real chance he'd be a winner again.

Now Rapoport has spoken with Tebow's father, Bob, who dismissed the ESPN The Magazine report in a very fatherly manner.

"You are old enough to not believe all you hear," he said.
