A 23-year-old woman described as a “good kid” was cut down in a hail of bullets and three other people were wounded in two shootings yesterday as violence erupted on the streets of Roxbury.

The woman was killed after her car was peppered by bullets as she and another man drove through Roxbury yesterday afternoon. The car came to a stop at an Egleston Square gas station, where relatives rushed to the scene as news of the shooting spread.

“She graduated from … school, did everything right, did everything right,” said a sobbing woman who identified herself as the victim’s aunt. “She’s gone.”

Her car was shot up two months ago? Stronger gun laws needed in Massachusetts.

Since it doesn't sound very random, I'm not sure she did everything right.

And what are the chances that the shooter was a licensed gun owner using a legally registered firearm? Slim. Very slim.

Roxbury, MA is majority Amish. These problems always seem to surface in majority Amish areas. The über-Liberal Massachusetts citizens, the Democrat controlled Mass legislature, and Massachusetts’ black governor must discriminate against Roxbury’s Amish because Liberals have told me over-and-over that these problems are the result of discrimination.

In the Berry?? HA!
The answer of course (according to Devaluate and the legislative amoebae inhabiting the toxic waste site on Beacon Hill) will be more punishment for the innocent person who already tries to abide by their ill conceived tyrannical edicts.

>A man who identified himself as the father of the woman who was killed said her car had been shot up two months ago and he believed the incidents were related.

>He said he and his daughter’s mother, who are no longer together, are still friendly and had commiserated over their daughter’s choice of a companion. “She wasn’t supposed to be with him no more, but apparently that wasn’t true.”

Sounds like she was hanging with the wrong crowd and was wrapped around a future father of an unwanted child.

you are being sarcastic I hope? Roxbury is a shell of what at one time was a thriving area. Sadly it has been neglected by the current population which is how an incident such as this occurred.

Cut down in “hail” of bullets? Clearly Mass needs tougher restrictions on magazine capacity. Perhaps set capacity at “hail minus one”?

Yes, I was being sarcastic. Yesterday, a crime scene in New York mentioned the warm weather so I posted a comment about global warming and how liberals were correct.

The descriptions of the shooters in the two incidents were similar..

Yet the article did not describe them. I'll take a guess, black?

It was mentioned, near an adv. (annoying).

Police last night were searching for a dark SUV, possibly a Dodge Durango, with two heavy-set black men in connection with the fatal shooting and a second shooting in Roxbury at 5:43 a.m. yesterday that injured two men, one critically. Police believe that shooting took place on Humboldt Avenue, and said the victims drove themselves to Boston Medical Center.

Was watching live coverage of a police pursuit a couple years back. Such pursuits usually end with a wreck, or a surrender, but not this one.

The suspect pulled into a parking lot and bailed out of the car. The cops pulled up right behind him and rapidly deployed. Must have been about six officer within 15 yards and even more closing in fast .

The suspect made a break for the door a nearby fast food place and, as he did, turned a pistol towards the officers.

He went down in what only can be described as a hail of bullets. Even as the news chopper pulled out to a wider shot you could see the impacts on him and on the pavement around him.

It was really quite impressive — in a horrific sort of way.

Just search the title on the NYTs own website. It’s an active interactive map, you can dial the year, area, anything. I just filtered it for the races and max years.

A similar map for Chicago shows the very same thing.

She did one thing wrong, for sure, She let a target get in the car with her. Some mistakes you only get to make once.
